Traffic Stops on Ute Pass Tonight

April 8, 2014 - Southeastern Colorado/CDOT Region 2 - EL PASO COUNTY – Flaggers will be alternating eastbound and westbound traffic at Waldo Canyon overnight – about one mile west of Manitou Springs – to allow the remaining sections a concrete box culvert to be installed.

Beginning at 8 p.m., drivers can anticipate stops up to five minutes as traffic alternates through the work zone.  Traffic will remain in this configuration until about 5 a.m. tomorrow, when one lane of traffic will be open in each direction.

PLEASE NOTE: Drivers should expect possible slowdowns or delays through the area during the morning and evening rush hours.

The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) is installing an extra-large concrete box culvert to help mitigate highway flooding in the Ute Pass area.
