This Week’s U.S. 34 Construction

June 2, 2014 - Northeastern Colorado/CDOT Region 4 - LARIMER COUNTY — The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) is resuming work in The Narrows segment and completing other operations in the Big Thompson Canyon this week.

Drivers on U.S. 34 can anticipate traffic stops from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, as follows:

  • MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY – Traffic stops up to 10 minutes as flaggers alternate traffic, as needed, for sign installation, shoulder work and seeding
  • TUESDAY through FRIDAY: Traffic stops up to 30 minutes at The Narrows – just west of the Dam Store (mile 81 – 83) – for wall repairs and placement of rip-rap (rock & stone) to reinforce the river bank.
