Public Comment Period for I-70 East EIS Extended Through Oct. 31

September 23, 2014 - Denver Metro Colorado/CDOT Region 1 - DENVER– The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) will accept public comments through Oct. 31 regarding the latest draft of the environmental study on improvements to Interstate 70 (I-70) through northeast Denver and Aurora.

CDOT to host open house for improvements to north I-25

September 23, 2014 - Northeastern Colorado/CDOT Region 4 - A public open house will be held to provide information about planned additional lanes on I-25 and other transportation issues including interim improvements planned for early construction, commuter rail updates and planned 2015 express bus service.

Nighttime Eastbound US 36 Closure This Thursday

September 24, 2014 - Denver Metro Colorado/CDOT Region 1 - There will be a full closure of eastbound US 36 at Pecos Street on Thursday, Sept. 25, 11 p.m. – 5:30 a.m., for utility relocation.

Rockfall Mitigation Starting on US 6 near SH 119

September 24, 2014 - Denver Metro Colorado/CDOT Region 1 - DENVER – In an effort to prevent the risk of rockfall and increase the safety of the traveling public, the Colorado Department of Transportation has commenced rockfall mitigation work on US 6 starting at SH 119 through mile marker 271 near Golden.

US 6 Paving Wednesday Night Precedes Busy Weekend of Work

September 24, 2014 - Denver Metro Colorado/CDOT Region 1 - DENVER – Overnight on Wednesday, Sept. 24, crews will begin paving portions of the new westbound US 6 roadway between Federal Boulevard and Knox Court as part of the Colorado Department of Transportation’s (CDOT) ongoing US 6 Bridges Design Build Project.

Upcoming I-25 Traffic Shifts, Lincoln to County Line

September 30, 2014 - Denver Metro Colorado/CDOT Region 1 - Lone Tree, CO – In an effort to reach a major milestone on the I-25 widening project from Lincoln Avenue to County Line Road, nightly lane closures will be performed until the northbound traffic shift is completed, which is scheduled for mid-October.

Work on US 34 east of Greeley starts soon; public meeting Oct. 14

September 30, 2014 - Northeastern Colorado/CDOT Region 4 - When last September’s storms washed out a large section of US 34 east of Greeley, it became clear that a better, long-term solution was needed to ensure the road could withstand a similar major flooding event in the future.
