Open house planned for May 14 for US 85 work north of Ault

May 6, 2015 - Northeastern Colorado/CDOT Region 4 - WELD COUNTY– The Colorado Department of Transportation will host an open house on May 14 from 5:30-7 p.m. at the Town of Nunn Community Center, 185 Lincoln Ave., so residents and travelers can learn more about the project to improve US 85 north of Ault to the Wyoming State Line.

The resurfacing project is expected to begin the week of June 1 and continue into October 2016. The project was contracted to Connell Resources of Fort Collins for $19 million.

This project will include both asphalt and concrete resurfacing, embankment, full-depth reclamation, milling, box culvert extensions, structure rehabilitation, culverts, seeding and mulching, erosion control, fencing, signing, striping and rumble strips. Work will take place Monday through Friday from 7 am to 5 pm. Motorists will encounter intermittent lane closures and possible traffic delays.
