Work to begin on CO 14 west of Rustic on Sept. 5

August 29, 2017 - Northeastern Colorado/CDOT Region 4 - Work will include flood and embankment repairs

LARIMER COUNTY — On Sept. 5, The Colorado Department of Transportation will begin work on Colorado Highway 14, west of the town of Rustic. Work will include muck excavation and flood repairs to reconstruct and protect highway embankment in the area.

Project work will occur at Mile Point 84.5. All work on the project is expected to be completed by Fall 2017. American West Construction of Denver will perform as the prime contractor on this $700,000 project.

TRAVEL IMPACTS: Travelers should expect possible single lane closures and traffic delays during road improvements. Construction work hours will run from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and there is no weekend work planned for this project. Speeds will be reduced to 35 MPH and there will be a 12-foot width restriction in place during working hours.
