Nighttime closures at I-25 and Crossroads Boulevard scheduled for Sept. 10-11

September 7, 2017 - Northeastern Colorado - Closures necessary for concrete work and temporary bridge removal

LARIMER COUNTY – During nighttime working hours of 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 10, the northbound I-25 off-ramp at the Crossroads Boulevard exit (exit 259) will be closed as crews complete concrete work. The right lane of northbound I-25 will also be closed during this time. Crossroads Boulevard will be reduced to a single lane of alternating traffic in preparation for the removal of the temporary bridge.

During nighttime working hours of 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 11, crews will implement a full closure of Crossroads Boulevard for the removal of the temporary bridge. Traffic on I-25 will not be affected.

During these closures, the roundabouts at the interchange will remain open. Motorists traveling through the roundabouts are advised to do so with caution. Please pay close attention to flaggers’ directions, as construction vehicles will be in motion throughout the work zone.

Earlier this month, the old southbound bridge was demolished and additional removals are currently underway for the planned widening of Crossroads Boulevard. Both northbound and southbound traffic on I-25 has been realigned onto the newly constructed bridge. This configuration will remain in place until the second bridge is completed in December.

DETOUR INFORMATION: Both CO 392 and US 34, located to the north and south of the construction zone, respectively, will remain open. Motorists are encouraged to utilize those roadways to navigate around the closures. Either route will add approximately five minutes of additional travel time.
