Larimer and Weld Counties — From Oct. 4 to 18, the I-25 North Express Lanes Project will require multiple closures.

  • On Oct. 4 and 5, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., there will be nightly full closures of eastbound and westbound Colorado Highway 60 over I-25 to install the remaining bridge girders. During these times, northbound and southbound traffic on I-25 will proceed up and over the ramps at CO 60.

    • Westbound CO 60 traffic will take the northbound I-25 on-ramp at CO 60 to CO 402. Traffic will turn at CO 402 and take I-25 south to the CO 60 off-ramp and continue westbound on CO 60.

    • Eastbound CO 60 traffic will take Weld County Road 7 north to Larimer County Road 14, east to County Road 13 and south to CO 60.

    • To access westbound CO 56, northbound I-25 traffic will stay on I-25 to the CO 402 interchange, take the northbound off-ramp to access the southbound on-ramp to southbound I-25, then take the southbound off-ramp at CO 56.

  • Starting Monday, Oct. 11, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., there will be a full closure of eastbound and westbound Weld County Road 46 at I-25 to install new bridge girders for the bridge at I-25. Please visit www.codot.gov/projects/north-i-25, for the most current travel updates. The I-25 North Express Lanes Project: Berthoud to Johnstown section will increase highway capacity by adding an Express Lane in each direction, rebuild interchanges, replace aging bridges, straighten highway curves to improve safety, make major utility and drainage improvements, and add carpool and transit facilities. During construction on the I-25 North Express Lanes Project, motorists should expect speed reductions to 65 mph, minor lane shifts, temporary concrete barriers and median bridge work. Motorists should also expect delays during the scheduled work hours. Construction on the Berthoud to Johnstown piece is expected to be complete in 2023.
