The US 50 Corridor East Tier 1 Draft Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) was published in June 2016 and is available for review.
Public involvement in the US 50 Corridor East project is welcomed and encouraged. Public meetings provide an opportunity for you to meet the project team, have your questions and concerns addressed, and learn more about the project. Public hearings for the US 50 Corridor East Tier 1 Draft EIS have been scheduled from July 11, 2016, - July 13, 2016, in various towns along the US 50 corridor.

A Vital Roadway for Southeastern Colorado
US 50 is a coast-to-coast highway recognized by Colorado as a vital link in the statewide transportation system. The US 50 corridor between Pueblo and the Kansas State line is approximately 150 miles long, and connects four counties and 10 municipalities in Southeastern Colorado. The ultimate improvements planned for this section of US 50 will provide for a safer roadway, on or near the existing US 50, that maintains a reasonable traffic flow and speed for movement of people and goods along and through the Lower Arkansas Valley, while accommodating future transportation needs.
