I-70 Bridge Maintenance between Limon and Agate

About the Project:

The project is a Bridge Preventative Maintenance project along I-70. The I-70 bridge repair work is essential to the traveling public's safety. The improvements are designed to give motorists safer travel during inclement weather and prevent future erosion to the bridge structure.  The resurfacing of the asphalt will create smoother pavement and improved driving conditions.

Work Schedule:

Different from the traffic impacts, this should be the general working hours and schedule of the project. Example:

• Working hours from 7 am. to 5 p.m., Monday to Friday
• Some overnight and weekend work is expected
• Project duration is from April 2023 through December 2023

Traffic Impacts:

Motorists can expect the following impacts during the period of construction:

• Eastbound and westbound left lane closure 24/7 at MP 355 to MP 358
• Expect intermittent flagging during construction
• Reduced speeds to 65 MPH through the work zone
• 11’ lane width restrictions
• Narrowed lanes and reduced shoulders
