US 287 & US 50 Resurfacing in Lamar

Project Complete!

The Colorado Department of Transportation in collaboration with Castle Rock Construction have successfully completed improvements along the portion of US 287 through Lamar which included reconstruction of US 287 and a portion of US 50 in Lamar from Park Street to Savage Ave. US 287 is heavily used by motorists and freight drivers.

Phase II of the resurfacing and improvement project was completed in May 2022. The reconstruction involved removal of asphalt pavement and replacement of the roadway with concrete pavement. The work also included new and upgraded existing storm drainage system, electrical lighting, curb and gutter, sign placements, and ADA curb ramp improvements.
