US 50B Structure Replacement

About the Project:

Project Complete 

The Colorado Department of Transportation along with contractor Tricon 2, LLC has completed the structure replacement project in Bent County. The project location was on US 50, 6 miles east of Las Animas. The project replaced an existing structure with a concrete box culvert to provide a drainage system that is more manageable and weather resistant for the area. While working on the project, crews paved the roadway and replaced/upgraded existing guardrail. Rumble strips were also added as a safety feature.

• Monday through Thursday, Daytime working hours
  Friday, until noon

• Paved Detour in Place. Speed limit is reduced to 45 mph through the detour.
