About the Project

The Colorado Department of Transportation will begin construction July 28 on the new interchange at US Highway 50 and Purcell Boulevard in Pueblo West. The first phase of the project is lengthening the third westbound travel lane of US 50 between Pueblo Blvd. and Purcell Blvd. Additional improvements such as sidewalks, curbs and gutter are part of the project design.

These improvements will significantly increase safety on a roadway that carries a high volume of traffic, reduce commuting times for area residents, and allow pedestrians to safely navigate the intersection.
